Campaign Success: When the Sirens Soun d… Not Ever yone Can Run

Together We Made a Difference Could a community of dedicated supporters raise more than £400,000 ( $540,000 ) in just 36 hours to help build a sheltered trauma unit at Laniado Hospital ? The answer was a resounding yes!

On July 5 – 6, Friends of Laniado organizations throughout Israel and around the world united for our inspiring "When the Sirens Sound… Not Everyo ne Can Run" matching campaign. Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of a major donor, every contribution made during the 36-hour campaign was doubled, allowing every gift to have twice the impact. What followed was nothing short of remarkable.

A total of 71 fundraising teams , led by board members, volunteers, friends, and supporters, reached out to their families, friends, and colleagues. Many participants had never raised funds before, yet they quickly discovered that with passion, commitment, and a meaningful cause, fundraising can be both simple and deeply rewarding. By the end of the campaign, more than 1,400 donors from around the world had come together to demonstrate their belief in Laniado Hospital 's mission. Together, they raised over £400,000, ($540,000) bringing us significantly closer to making the new sheltered trauma unit a reality. This campaign was about far more than reaching a financial goal. It was a powerful demonstration of what can be achieved when a community unites around a shared purpose. Every phone call, every WhatsApp message, every email, and every donation became part of a global effort to ensure that when emergencies strike, the People of Israel have access to safe, life-saving medical care. We extend our deepest gratitude to every team captain who gave of their time and energy, to every volunteer who shared our message, and to each and every donor whose generosity made this achievement possible. Together, we proved that when people unite behind a worthy cause, extraordinary things can happen.
