The Tessler Academic School of Nursing - Distribution of Scholarships Wednesday 10 th June 2026

On Wednesday 10 th June a large number of donors and members of the Supporters of Laniado Hospital gathered in the Chicago Auditorium of the Tessler Academic School of Nursing for the annual distribution of Scholarships. The Scholarships were given to students of the Nursing School and nurses who work in the hospital but are doing specialist courses. The programme began with Vivienne Simenoff , Co Chair of the Supporters , welcoming everyone. She was followed by Eli Knoller , Director of Development and Community Affairs. There were also greetings by Nadav Chen , the C.E.O . of Laniado , Dr Ester Strauss Menahelet of the

Nursing School and Shimrit Rony , Director of Nurses Services . Dr Aryeh Simmonds , director of the NICU at Laniado Hospital spoke and encouraged the students by telling them of how positive an influence a nurse is on a patient – whatever age – just born or elderly. All told the nurses of their importance and how much a smile means to each and every patient and their families. Sara Shreiber one of the students thanked everyone for coming.
