Whole Blood Transfusions saves lives at Laniado

In response to the Israel-Hamas War , the IDF Medical Corps discovered that whole blood transfusions matched by blood type, were crucial in saving trauma patients. This approach has become a key tool in the field for treating casualties . Following the IDF 's success Laniado Hospital , alongside other Israeli

trauma with severe bleeding and rapid treatment for anemia. Dr Yochay Raviv , a senior anesthesiologist at Laniado , is the first to administer whole blood to patients in the hospital. This new policy is now being applied in the operating and trauma rooms, including for victims of road accidents, terror attacks, and other severe injuries. Thanks to this cutting edge-treatment, Laniado is enhancing its ability to save lives during these challenging times.
